I can't get enough of the Olympics. I've probably watched more programming on NBC in the past week than I have in the past year. I've even sat through some figure skating to catch the other events they sprinkle in between although I'm not proud of it.
I haven't updated this site in a little more than a year which I blame mostly on Facebook, plus I also got a little tired of the layout etc. I'm switching things up and have been inspired to blog a little by my wife. She seems to find it therapeutic and once curling goes off the air I'm going to need another outlet.
Meanwhile we're training up for a Set-Back tournament this weekend for charity. Should be fun but I'm not sure if the wife's chops are up to par. Supposedly there's a lot of smack being thrown about from the local yokels so it will be interesting to see what the competition is like. It's a great game and yet I can't recall meeting someone from outside of CT or MA that's ever heard of it.
Anyway back to the Olympics as I'm missing the ski jump aerials right now.
P.S. - I ran over a squirrel today, by accident of course, but it was in my neighborhood. It's sad that another happy squirrel has gone too soon but I actually contemplated stopping and trying to do something. Not save it of course because well, obvious reasons but maybe just flip it to the side of the road and say a few words. If it was on a main road I wouldn't have thought of stopping. When do you stop? Driveway I think. Definitely driveway.
